Volume.1-12 is an independent, collaborative research initiative undertaken by a team of 4 designers, driven by a shared interest in acoustics and sound. I was responsible for editing Vol.2, Vol.8 & Vol.11.

Sound was selected as the core subject for its conceptual richness and interpretive potential. The project takes the form of a 12 series, compiling theoretical research, interviews, image books, newspapers, and other media. Each volume features a unique size and aspect ratio, carefully chosen to best convey its distinct content and identity. Each topic explores different design approaches to the question: “As a designer, how do you define and express sound?”

Worked together with Haokai Gu, Dekai Jin & Zekai Peng to bring the 12 volumes to life.
